Steward's Report
Mr. Reginald Boyce was issued with a fine of $50, in accordance with GAR 86 & LR 39.1, for kennelling greyhounds after the appointed kennelling closure time. As a result, the kennels closed at 6:37pm.
A pre–race urine sample was taken from Naringal Lad.
Taste, Maxi Grin and Little Rat were quick to begin. Transponding went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.
Midnight Phantom underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hamstring injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. David Geall regarding the racing manners of Midnight Phantom in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Geall, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
