Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Miss K Kemp regarding a prohibited item in the kennelling area. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 165(a).
Pink Frosting, Kyoto Kiss and Among Stars were quick to begin. Zipping Kentucky was slow to begin.
Pink Frosting, severely checked turning into the home straight and subsequently pulled up, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left scapula fracture. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Aston Sicily, racing manners first turn and home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Re-vet declined.
Stewards spoke to Mr J Talgi regarding Aston Sicily’s racing manners on the first turn and on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Aston Sicily was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr J Talgi pleaded guilty to the charge. Aston Sicily was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (2nd offence) at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
