Steward's Report
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Krystal's Hot.
Zippy Fish and Hurricane Lucy were slow to begin.
Zippy Fish (racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right pencil/whip injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Peter Craig regarding Zippy Fish’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Zippy Fish was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Craig pleaded not guilty to the charge. Zippy Fish was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Nitro Moses - the winner of the event.
