A pre-race urine sample was taken from Birdhill Ned.
Little Bella was quick to begin. Birdhill Ned was slow to begin. Serratus went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.
Toowoomba Willy (racing manners) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. Donna Knight regarding Toowoomba Willy’s racing manners turning into the home straight and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Toowoomba Willy was charged with marring. Ms. Knight pleaded guilty to the charge. Toowoomba Willy was suspended for 28 days (2nd offence) at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
