Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 25.4 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.4 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Pursuant to the GRV Hot Weather Policy, Stewards dispensed with two requirements prior to Race 1, meaning greyhounds were no longer required to remain on course for the specified time, and that the parading of greyhounds was to occur, as the outside temperature had decreased to a reasonable level.
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Flywheel Neil.
Jumbuk Wang Wang, Dr Tanya and Flywheel Neil were quick to begin. Hugo Rose was slow to begin.
