Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 31.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.2 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Saint Harvey.
Sekola Blue was quick to begin. Platform was slow to begin.
Mini Mitts (faltered and lost ground on the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both biceps and a left calf muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
