Steward's Report
Nando Blast and Take a Phoenix were quick to begin.
Rebel Sal, (turned its head inwards appoaching the winning post) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported and declined a re-vet. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Tony Salpigtidis regarding Rebal Sal’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Rebel Sal was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Representative Mr. Salpigtidis pleaded guilty to the charge. Rebel Sal is suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
