Steward's Report

Hard Row was quick to begin. Overstated, Crackerjack Gaz and Trust In Process were slow to begin.

Prince Valhalla (turned head inwards and visibly eased turning into the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left carpus region. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Brandon Mackie regarding Prince Valhalla's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Prince Valhalla was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Mackie pleaded guilty to the charge. Prince Valhalla must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Overstated (collided with Dr. Paris turning out of the back straight and lost ground over the remainder of the event) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Jordan Cooper regarding the racing manners of Crackerjack Gaz turning into the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Cooper, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

A post-race urine sample was taken from Hard Row - the winner of the event.

Stewards noted that due to technical issues, no numbers were displayed on the semaphore board post-race and no second split time was available. The head-on vision was also partially unavailable for this event.
