Steward's Report
This event was rescheduled to commence at 8.29pm from the advertised time of 8.26pm due to the cancellation of Wentworth Park greyhounds.
Blue Labubu was quick to begin. Mepunga Lilly was slow to begin.
Resisting underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have mild abrasions to the left lateral stife. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative - Mr. S. Schlensog regarding the racing manners of Resisting on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Resisting was charged with marring. Mr. Schlensog pleaded guilty to the charge. Resisting was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Warrnambool and a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race urine sample was taken from Mepunga Lilly – the winner of the event.
