Steward's Report
Rapido Spirit and Julea Ruslie were quick to begin. Lady Mia was slow to begin.
Lady Mia (turned head outwards in the home straight second time), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Mr. Shaun Boag declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined. Stewards spoke to Mr. Boag regarding Lady Mia’s racing manners in the home straight second time. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Lady Mia was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Boag pleaded guilty to the charge. Lady Mia was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Julea Ruslie (lost ground in the back straight), underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
