Steward's Report
Canya Hold On was quick to begin. Mepunga Zircon and Manson Lamps were slow to begin.
Amron Toy (turned head outwards and marred Canya Hold On turning into the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triceps injury and a left hock sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Davide Fasoli regarding Amron Toy’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Amron Toy was charged with marring. Mr. Fasoli pleaded guilty to the charge. Amron Toy was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Sandown Park and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Canya Hold On (marred by Amron Toy on the first turn and contacted the outside fence) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right scapula fracture and split webbing on the left-fore. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Mepunga Zircon - the winner of the event.
