Steward's Report
Midnight Jed and Reindeer Louise were quick to begin. Royce Van Winkle was slow to begin.
Reindeer Louise (lost ground over the concluding stages of the event) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Kid Gulla (turned it's head to the inside soon after the start) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Robert Douglas regarding the racing manners of Kid Gulla soon after the start. After hearing submissions from Mr. Douglas, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
