Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 20.2 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.6 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Where's Wyche and Lorimer Street were quick to begin. Infatuated was slow to begin.
Barellen Moon (severely checked and fell turning off the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
