Steward's Report
Aston Rayner and Shima Blush were quick to begin. Valenzuela was slow to begin.
A post–race urine sample was taken from Highly Connected – the winner of the event.
Following the race meeting, Stewards became aware that the greyhound Shima Blush was still kennelled on-course despite the kennel representative having already left the racecourse. Stewards directed that kennel representative Mr. Mathew Bradley return to the racecourse immediately to retrieve Shima Blush. Stewards opened an inquiry with Mr. Bradley upon his return to the course. Acting under GAR 156(f), Stewards issued a charge for negligence in that Mr. Bradley omitted to retrieve Shima Blush from the kennels post-race and convey the greyhound to its licensed premises. Mr. Bradley pleaded guilty to the charge. Stewards issued Mr. Bradley with a fine to the amount of $250.
