Steward's Report
Panther Dream and Aussie Mirage were quick to begin. Paw Vitali and Phoenix Red were slow to begin.
Phoenix Red raced ungenerously in the home straight and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Jordan Bryce regarding the racing manners of Phoenix Red in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr Bryce viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
Due to a malfunction with the timing system, the winner's time was hand-timed at 22.63. The times for the other runners were allocated using the margins from the Finishlynx photo-finish from this hand time. The first split time was hand timed at 8.62 and the same principle applied.
