Steward's Report
Twilight Tori and Winter Goes were quick to begin.
Dapper Chap (contacted the running rail turning out of the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left front foot aswell as the right hind foot. No stand down period was imposed.
Head For Home, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Colin Kelly regarding Head For Home’s racing manners turning into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Head For Home was charged with marring. Mr. Kelly pleaded guilty to the charge. Head For Home was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race urine sample was taken from Twilight Tori – unplaced in the event.
