Steward's Report
Blaze was quick to begin. Our Rupee was slow to begin.
Blaze raced wide throughout
Abracadabra (severly checked and lost ground on the home turn and in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have lacerations on both hocks and a right hock sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Aston Verdict (turned its head inwards and marred Abracadabra in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a webbing injury on the right fore. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. Grant Fullerton, regarding Aston Verdict’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Aston Verdict was charged with marring. Mr. Fullerton pleaded guilty to the charge. Aston Verdict was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Marvulli (contacted the running rail and lost ground approaching the first turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the left hock and diaphragmatic flutter. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Scott Switcheroo (turned its head inwards and marred Aston Plot in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mrs. Emma Scott, regarding Scott Switcheroo’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Scott Switcheroo was charged with marring. Mrs. Scott pleaded guilty to the charge. Scott Switcheroo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
