Steward's Report
Paw Xanthie and Powder Dry were quick to begin.
The announcement of the All Clear was delayed for the Stewards to review the race footage of the start and to inspect the starting boxes for any fault due to Speakeasy jumping awkwardly. After viewing the footage and inspecting the starting boxes, the Stewards were comfortably satisfied that there was no fault or defect with the starting boxes; nor were there any problems with placing any greyhounds therein. The stewards were equally comfortably satisfied that each greyhound received the same, fair and equal opportunity at the start. As such the All Clear was posted.
Speakeasy underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
