Steward's Report
The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on Sunday the 23rd of march.
Autumn Angel was quick to begin. Patty's Dream was slow to begin.
Teddy Devil (faltered in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right calf muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Storming Kay (faltered turning out of the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Dunlevey regarding Storming Kay's overall performance in the event. Pursuant to GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr. Dunlevey to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Storming Kay in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Brookie Baby (faltered approaching the home turn) underwent a post-race veteribary examination and was found to have injured the left back muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race urine sample was taken from Gumtree Hill – the winner of the event.
