Steward's Report
Eternal Capers – Late scratching at 4.14pm with permission of Stewards [GAR76(2)]. No stand down penalty was applied after Stewards accepted the application from Trainer - Mr. J Stemmer.
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Starter - Ms. N Quilty did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event. Ms Quilty was replaced by Mr J Loudon for this event.
The start was delayed by approximately two minutes due to holding for a Seoul gallops race.
Cornhill Raven was quick to begin. Whisky Mach was slow to begin.
The announcement of the All Clear was delayed for the Stewards to review the race footage due to a plastic bag blown onto the track as the greyhounds entered the home straight. After viewing the footage and acting on their own observations, the Stewards were comfortably satisfied that no greyhound was materially affected so as to affect the outcome of the event. The All Clear was posted.
Whisky Mach (slow to begin and trailed the field throughout) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and after being revetted, no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer - Mr. C. Baker, regarding the overall performance of Whisky Mach tonight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Baker, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Whisky Mach to be unsatisfactory. Whisky Mach must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
