This event was hand-started due to a faulty trip mechanism.
Bruce's Shout (severely checked on the first turn and fell) underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Goliath (severely checked on the first turn, lost ground and tailed off) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left stifle ligament injury. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race urine sample was taken from Dynamite Doug – the winner of the event.
