Steward's Report
Jubilea Bale was a late scratching at 3:34pm by Order Of Stewards.
Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) Stewards were notified by Racing Analytical Services Limited today (5 February 2015) that a post race urine sample taken from the greyhound Jubilea Bale at Warragul GRC meeting conducted on 17 January 2015 was shown to contain the Permanently Banned Prohibited Substances Amphetamine, Methamphetamine and its metabolites.
Acting in accordance with Greyhounds Australasia Rule (GAR) 79A(3)(a) the greyhound was withdrawn from tonight’s event and pursuant to GAR 79A(3)(b), the greyhound shall be ineligible to be nominated for any further event until such time a sample taken from the greyhound does not breach GAR 79A.
As per normal procedure the greyhound’s Trainer Ms. J. Hunt was advised of these findings at a kennel inspection at her properties today (5 February 2015). The reserve and control samples are yet to be analysed and Ms Hunt was advised of her right to have this performed in the presence of an independent approved analyst nominated by her at Racing Analytical Services Limited.
Aristotle Bale, Sam Toocan and Destini Lobo were slow to begin. Pita Milo and Crackerjack Rose collided on the first turn checking Crackerjack Rose. Moot Point and Emrys collided on the first turn. Sam Toocan and Destini Lobo collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn checking Destini Lobo. Destini Lobo checked off Sam Toocan in the back straight and stumbled as a result. Aristotle Bale, Pita Milo and Crackerjack Rose collided on the third turn checking Pita Milo. Moot Point checked off Aristotle Bale on the home turn. Emrys and Crackerjack Rose collided on the home turn. Crackerjack Rose checked off Emrys in the home straight.
A sample was taken from Emrys, the winner of the event.
