Steward's Report
A pre–race urine sample was taken from Flying Butcher.
Arlunya was slow to begin.
Flying Butcher underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms. Elaine Delios regarding the racing manners of Flying Butcher entering the home straight. After hearing submissions from Ms. Delios, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
A post–race blood sample was taken from Sweet Kathlene – the winner of the event.
