Steward's Report
Paw Winkworth (checked turning into the home straight and lost ground thereafter) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 6. Paw Winkworth was found to have injuries to the right monkey and biceps muscles, and a spike wound to the right hind paw. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Mason Koffman regarding Paw Winkworth's overall performance. Pursuant to GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr. Koffman to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Paw Winkworth in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
A post race urine sample was taken from Ascend Hibiscus, the winner of the event.
