Doongalla Gypsy and Mamasan were quick to begin. Perfect Stranger and Diamantina Pear were slow to begin.
Perfect Stranger (uncompetitive) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Joe Uglietta regarding the overall performance of the greyhound. After hearing submissions from Mr. Uglietta, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Perfect Stranger unsatisfactory. Perfect Stranger must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Starter Mr. Peter Nicholls did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
Paw Ursula (found to be underweight at kenneling) underwent a veterinary examination and was found to have an elevated temperature and dehydration. Paw Ursula was a late scratching at 6:00pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92). A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Hurricane Mist was quick to begin. Shaka Big Chief was slow to begin.
Honey Bunny (severely checked turning out of the front straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
