Steward's Report
Atomic Diva was quick to begin.
Heathcote Star (marred Heading South soon after the start) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have muscle atrophy to the left temporalis. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Malcom Davis regarding Heathcote Star’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Heathcote Star was charged with marring. Mr. Davis pleaded guilty to the charge. Heathcote Star was suspended for 28 days (2nd offence) at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted. Mr Davis indicated the greyhound would be retired.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Super Storm - winner of the event.
