Stewards spoke to representative Ms Danielle Keane in relation to the bona fides of the withdrawal of Neighbours Alarm from this race. Ms. Keane's stated that Neighbours Alarm had pulled up sore with a triangle muscle injury and was subsequently withdrawn at 8:01am.

Pest Express was quick to begin. Tears In Rain and Aston Betty were slow to begin.
It was noted that the muzzle of Aston Betty became partially dislodged during the running of the event.
