In accordance with GAR 41(5), Canya Nitrate was presented for a re–vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Sandown Park on 27 March 2025. Canya Nitrate was examined by the On–Track Veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Canya Nitrate was cleared to race. A sample was taken for analysis.

Whiskey Whiskers and Weblec Snoop were slow to begin.

To Peru (checked and fell turning out of the front straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

A post–race urine sample was taken from Saquon – the winner of the event. 

Belfast Spot was slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Mason Koffman regarding the racing manners of Werris Bale turning into the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Koffman, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.

Double Denim and Pass Mark were quick to begin. Max Capacity was slow to begin. 

Post–race urine samples were taken from Pass Mark (1st) and Double Denim (2nd).

Trainer Mrs. Brooke Ennis applied to Stewards to withdraw Amron Tiger after this greyhound was mistakenly nominated for this race and distance. In accepting the application to withdraw Amron Tiger under GAR 19(4)(b), the Stewards issued a charge to Mrs. Ennis pursuant to GAR 156(f) for mistakenly nominating Amron Tiger for this race, a thing which was considered by the Stewards to be negligent. Mrs. Ennis acknowledged the charge and was fined $250.

A urine sample was taken from Crutching Tommy upon arrival at the course.

Henry Intention and Apilla were slow to begin.

Zinfandel Trace (marred West On Boonie turning into the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Gavin Harris regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Zinfandel Trace was charged with marring. Mr. Harris pleaded guilty to the charge. Zinfandel Trace was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Sandown Park and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Post–race urine samples were taken from Mepunga Surprise (1st) and Henry Intention (2nd).

Stacy's Mum was quick to begin.

Tammy McIvor (marred Stacy's Mum turning out of the back straight on the second occasion) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Barry Priest regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Tammy McIvor was charged with marring. Mr. Priest pleaded guilty to the charge. Tammy McIvor was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Sandown Park and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Post–race urine samples were taken from Miss Mary Jo (1st) and Raider's Guide (2nd).

Pursuant to GAR 139, out of competition urine samples were taken from the following greyhounds on the following dates:

10 May 2025 - Paw Octavia, Gambella, Tully Luna and Paw Xantippe.

12 May 2025 - Trefusis.

13 May 2025 - Dashing Slay, Dr. Zeeka, Lakeview Emily and Flying Envy.

14 May 2025 - Bourne Model.

Bourne Model and Paw Octavia were quick to begin. Trefusis was slow to begin.

Out of competition urine samples were taken from Room To Breathe and Dear Carla Lou on 13 May 2025, pursuant to GAR 139.

A pre–race urine sample was taken from Tommy Sparkle.

Kiwi Ice Cube and Pat Card were quick to begin.

Pat Card underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have a dislocated toe on the left-hind. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Out of competition urine samples were taken from Paw Vortex and Motion Sensor on 13 May 2025, pursuant to GAR 139.

Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Club Official Mr. Colin Johnson did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
