Steward's Report
An out of competition urine sample was taken from Busting on 27th of February 2025 pursuant to GAR 139.
Busting and Lewis were slow to begin.
Buckaroo Barry (marred Angry Murray Cod approaching the winning post) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left wrist and right shoulder and abrasions to the left and right hind. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Susan Richards regarding Buckaroo Barry’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Buckaroo Barry was charged with marring. Ms. Richard pleaded guilty to the charge. Buckaroo Barry was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (2nd offence) at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Unleash The Lion - the winner of the event.
