Steward's Report
Scout's Way and Serratus were quick to begin. Pies And Sauce, Dewey Mac and Aurora Sky Force were slow to begin.
Demon Maxy (turned its head and visibly eased several times from the 150m mark) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Josh Duncan regarding Demon Maxy’s racing manners from the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Demon Maxy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Duncan pleaded guilty to the charge. Demo Maxy was suspended for three months (3rd offence) at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Scout's Way (faltered at the 100m mark and lost ground) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following event 6. Scout's Way was found to have a left pencil injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
