One Word Answer and Star Stay were slow to begin.
One Word Answer (racing manners approaching the finishing line), underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr Shaw declined the option of a Re-Vet. Stewards spoke to Mr. James Shaw regarding One Word Answer's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, One Word Answer was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Shaw pleaded guilty to the charge. One Word Answer is suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
