SANDOWN TRIALS
15/04/2024Due to the unexpected delay in commencing the track renovation at the Sandown Greyhound Racing club last week, our next trial session will be Friday 19 April commencing at 9am.
BALLARAT MEDIUM TRACK HARROW
13/04/2024The Ballarat Greyhound Club would like to advise participants that a medium Harrow (depth between 41-60mm) was completed on Thursday 11/4 as scheduled.
DARNUM SLIPPING TRACK
12/04/2024The Darnum Slipping Track will be closed until Monday 22nd April 2024, due to inclement weather and power harrowing maintenance programs be forced to be postponed.
SCANNING OF GREYHOUNDS AT TRIAL SESSIONS IN VICTORIA NOW UNDERWAY
11/04/2024In late 2023, GRV commenced a pilot where greyhounds are scanned prior to trialling at clubs.
Over the coming months, this pilot will be expanded to more clubs across the state.
The information collected will contribute to the development of a ‘greyhound whole of life tracking’ program, to enhance the transparency of the greyhound industry and the prospects of a sustainable future.
The information collected pertains to the greyhound’s activity and location only, ie. date, track and microchip number. Trial times, participant information, etc. is not collected and the information gathered is not in any way for public consumption.
The process will be carried out by club staff, who will be equipped with scanning equipment provided by GRV.

What is Fast Track
Public access to the FastTrack portal presents some information, on greyhounds available for racing, to users not registered with GRV as greyhound racing participants. Greyhounds not available for racing are displayed as "Retired". Full retirement details are available to GRV and will be summarised in GRV's Annual Report.
FastTrack delivers all greyhound racing needs by providing online access to all the existing services for you as an industry participant including the following:
- Registrations
- Nominations
- Grading
- Finance
- Form
- Ownership
- Stewards
- Racing
- Scratchings
FastTrack will allow you to access your account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week online.
A FastTrack account allows you to:
- Apply to become an Owner or Trainer
- Browse your dog information
- Nominate for meetings
- Retire, transfer ownership and change kennels for your dogs
- Manage breeding
Plus many more greyhound racing functions.
